Dream Big 9
The sun has set on yet another day. A week has passed in the blink of an eye. Soon July will be over before we know it. Nothing has changed, but still I wait for something to happen. Time itself has no boundaries. Anything can manifest out of control. We can count on the sun to come up every morning, set every evening, but we should never take it for granted. Life as we know it, is written throughout the cosmos. Whether we choose to believe it or not, we are at the mercy of the universe. We think we own the world, yet, we are our own slaves. Our destinies may not be completely intertwined with each other, but we are still linked as one species. Each and every one of us are here for the same purpose, to live, and to love. Some are more fortunate than others, and for rich, or for poor we still dream of the perfect love. The stars in the sky are never alone. You can count them, gaze upon them, and for every one star there is a thousand more. I used to look up at them with amazement when I was a little girl. They always seemed to tell a story of the past, perhaps a history of the world, now told as mythologies, and the constellations still fascinate me to this day. At night, in a cloudless black satin atmosphere, a shooting star can be seen streaking across, leaving only a tail of sparking dust particles in its wake. I have always heard it was a sign of good luck, and that we should make a wish. The few times I've ever seen them in my life, I have done that very thing. I'm still waiting for my wishes to come true. I still believe in fairytales. I also believe in unicorns, dragons, and Fay folk. I want to run away to explore their world, and write about my adventures. There's such a thin line between our world, and theirs. I want to break free from this one, and cross over. I miss the freedoms of my childhood, no responsibilities, never in a hurry, and never wanting to grow up. Now, the world is in a perpetual state of constant chaos, and I'm stuck between where I am, and where I want to be. Life is passing us right before our eyes, so don't blink. You just might miss something. A shooting star perhaps? Maybe because you blinked, and missed the chance to make that wish. Perhaps, that was part of your destiny all along. We don't know what our futures may hold, but if we believe in ourselves, we can stay on the right path, and if we're lucky, we'll have some Fay folk to guide us. Then, all we have to do is, Dream Big.
